Coffee in Three Dimensions
Some advertising asks for your attention. This one pulls you in.
I created a Deep Screen for a café environment: a digital display that turns a flat screen into a window with real depth. Behind the glass, a golden coffee capsule floats in a warm, wood-paneled alcove. The tagline says it all: “Experience the Depth of Coffee.”
How it works
A Deep Screen uses anamorphic 3D: the scene is built with perspective that is calculated for the viewer’s position. The side walls, the ceiling and the floor of the “box” converge exactly as they would in a real niche, so the brain reads the screen as physical space. Nothing needs to be worn or installed. It works on a standard display.
The making-of
In our making-of video, you can see the finished result in its setting, then the content on its own, with the capsule rotating and the beans and steam in motion. We built the whole scene in 3D, from the capsule and the bean pile to the lighting and the steam. Warm copper and amber tones tie the brand and the setting together. The movement is slow and calm on purpose. It invites people to look twice rather than shouting at them.
Why it works for cafés and retail
It stops people in a busy environment, where flat content gets ignored.
The product feels tangible, almost close enough to touch.
The atmosphere matches the moment: people are already thinking about coffee.
The format is memorable and easy to share on social media.
